Chairman, Peninsula Health Care District Board
The Peninsula Health Care District, which includes Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, San Bruno, Millbrae and parts of South San Francisco and Foster City, was formed by the voters in 1947 to build a community hospital to serve its residents and to assure adequate health care services for the community.

The "Blue Ribbon" panel was created under the guidance of Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier and the Director of Public Health, Mitch Katz, MD as part of an inclusive public-private planning process that will ensure that California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) continues to bear its appropriate share of responsibility, availability of afforable health care and accessible high quality health care for the needs of all San Francisco.
