Ana M. Pulido, MPA
Ana M. Pulido joined the Peninsula Health Care District as its Chief Executive Officer on April 10, 2023.
Ms. Pulido is a lifelong resident of San Mateo County and has over 20 years of experience working in leadership roles across the public sector in education, nonprofits, politics, philanthropy, and faith-based organizations.
Ms. Pulido began her career as the Chief Operations Officer for One East Palo Alto. In that role, she oversaw the development and implementation of programs that worked to improve the lives of youth and marginalized community members experiencing homelessness, those previously incarcerated, those undocumented, and those struggling with mental and behavioral health issues and substance abuse.
With a reputation for community building, Ms. Pulido was recruited to serve as the Communications Director for the Sequoia Union High School District where she developed award-winning communications recognized by organizations such as the California School Public Relations Association.
After her tenure at the Sequoia Union High School District, Ms. Pulido served as the Director of Public Affairs for the San Mateo County Community College District where she led communications strategy, government, community, and media relations.
Ms. Pulido served for 12 years as an elected member of the Ravenswood City School District. During that time, she led significant education reform and developed longstanding relationships with other elected officials throughout San Mateo County. Under her leadership, the school district expanded music, technology, science, and art course offerings, and opened the first Makerspace hub in the region, which was recognized by the White House. She oversaw the school district’s partnership with community organizations to support the whole child and brought mobile dental clinics, food drives, counseling services, and after school programming to Ravenswood. Additionally, as the Chair of the District’s Facilities Committee, Ms. Pulido was responsible for overseeing millions of dollars in construction projects, facilities updates, and land use negotiations.
Ms. Pulido holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
