Eddie Flores, MBA

Position: Director of Youth Behavioral Health Programs, Peninsula Health Care District

Eddie comes to the District with over 15 years of progressive management experience in public, private, non-profit, and civic arenas. He has a proven track record of being a collaborative leader, previously managing teams at the American Lung Association, Salesforce, and internationally at the World Health Organization. In addition, in his previous role as an elected school board trustee on the South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD), he partnered with many local organizations such as the San Mateo County Office of Education (SMCOE) and The Boys and Girls Club of North San Mateo County, leading efforts to conceptualize and bring forth numerous educational learning hubs during the global pandemic to students in South San Francisco.

In his current role as a member of the South San Francisco City Council, Eddie continues tackling high-impact initiatives that serve children, youth, and young adults, with a personal commitment to do so with a social justice, equity, and diversity lens. Eddie has a passion for community service and serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of North San Mateo County.

In his role as our Director of Youth Behavioral Health, Eddie will be responsible for developing, launching, and administering PHCD’s new Youth Drop-In Center (allcove), managing related PHCD programs and external partnerships, and serving as PHCD’s liaison to the countywide network of providers and agencies addressing behavioral health & wellness.

Eddie has earned degrees in public health and public policy from the University of California at Berkeley and an Executive MBA from San Francisco State University.
